We all know the feeling. the long nights and soggy weather stretch ahead of us endlessly, and we're feeling blue. But I'm grateful for where I am right now. Happiness isn't for people who need it, it's for people who want it.

Month +27: Seasonal Transitions
October is an important time of transition. This season why not interrupt your routine with something new. Everything we do that we that wouldn't ordinarily do provides us with a new perspective.
Month +26: Patience
Earlier this month I had to make a tough decision. It was something I didn't want to do and something I was afraid of doing. I was scared of letting myself, my club, and everyone I knew down. But deep down I knew it had to be done. I bowed to my fate and withdrew … Continue reading Month +26: Patience
Month +25: Training & Priorities
My blog is late this month, recognition perhaps that sometimes our routines (as comfortable as they are) have to make way for other priorities.
Month +23: Beyond the Trails
I feel like I haven't spent much time at home lately. This is partly due to the fact that I have spent a large amount of it away, either on Scout Camp or in Devon. Month +22: So Far, So Good

It's been a busy month. I've been on holiday, been to my first live music event in 4 years (hooray!) and my London marathon training has stared in earnest. My miles have gone up, Sunday long-runs are again a thing, and I'm feeling suitably tired - so much so in fact, that I forgot to … Continue reading Month +21: Decaf, Anyone?
Month +20: Moving Targets
This has been an exiting month, mainly because I discovered that against all the odds, I have secured myself a place in the 2022 London Marathon. I have taken part in this historic event once before - back in 2014, but what with all the changes in the good-for-age allocations, deferrals from the 2021 event, … Continue reading Month +20: Moving Targets
Month +19: Rebel Happiness
It's all to easy to make poor choices about how we use our time. Do something you really want to this year, rather than rescheduling and postponing your joy.
Day +574: I Caught COVID
Earlier this month I became a statistic. Treat yourself as a priority, wear a mask and keep your distance from the great unwashed.
